Prescription Medications

Are you planning on having a laser hair removal treatment or skincare procedure soon? If you are, remember to update medical history including prescriptions with your laser specialist.

Did you know that topical or oral medications you may be taking can affect when you can have a laser or skin care treatment. Antibiotics can cause photosensitivity, which means you cannot be treated with a laser, or have certain skin care procedures and should take extra precautions when out in the sun while on the medication. All medications are different and require you wait anywhere from 3 to 10 days until the medication is completely out of your system. Other medications, such as those for acne or anti-aging can thin the skin and must be stopped before we can perform some treatments as well.
